She began painting... after the birth of her first son, Kent. Her love for expression by way of the stroke of her paintbrush has carried her through many seasons of beauty and joy, pain and sorrow. She has painted in cottages and castles all over the world, and continues to use her talents to raise millions of dollars for countless charities.
When she is not painting from the inspiring setting of her 115-year-old cottage studio in Nashville, Shirley retreats to her second studio in the countryside, here at 170-year old Hundred Oaks Castle, flanked by two-story antique rusted walls and stained glass.
Outnumbered only by the amount of love she has for her family, her honors and commissions are numerous, and include the following:
-Outstanding Young Women of America
-Who’s Who in the World
-Who’s Who in the South & Southeast
