kent's garden

designed by rosemary verey

The featured garden at the Castle was designed by Rosemary Verey of Barnsley Gardens, England. Mrs. Verey visited Hundred Oaks Castle, and was a personal friend of the Bramlett family and mentor to Robert, who lived and studied gardening with her in England. The garden design is featured in a book by Kew Gardens, England, with a forward written by Prince Charles. Kent's Garden is within the Castle Courtyard, protected by strong brick walls during the day, sparkling with the magic of twinkling lights by evening.

edmund's garden

in honor of edmund outhier

Edmund's Garden is located in the front circle of the Castle. It was donated by Frank and Barbara Outhier, in honor and memory of their son, Edmund. The centerpiece of the garden is a three-tired, trickling fountain, surrounded by boxwoods, laurels, elaeagnus and a stunning Japanese maple. Edmund's Garden offers fairy trails around the fountain, and its garden sign was forged in England.

The Chattin Garden was established in 1999 by Jeanette Chattin of Mt. Dora, Florida. It was redone in her memory with a donation from her family, David and Mary Kay Chattin Moore. The Chattin Garden was originally designed and modeled after Rosemary Verey's Potager Garden, and it will bloom in the Spring with 500 Improved King Alfred Daffodils, all bright yellow and standing tall.
